COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Information
Following are information and updates on COVID-19 (also commonly known as the “Coronavirus”), specifically as it relates to the Minneapolis Convention Center (MCC).
Information updated: March 25, 2020
We have been, and continue to be, working closely with local officials and public health officials to follow all recommendations and best practices regarding the COVID-19. At the Minneapolis Convention Center, our first priority is always the health and safety of our guests and team members.
To protect the public’s health and slow the rate of transmission of COVID-19, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) recommended postponing or canceling large events where 50 people or more would gather.
The MCC followed the recommendations by the MDH, the Governor of Minnesota and the Mayor of Minneapolis, and has restricted events through May 10, 2020. Each week, we will seek guidance from MDH on changes to this policy or in the end date.
We encourage everyone to follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for everyday actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses and the Minnesota Department of Health, which is leading the state and city preparedness and information dissemination.
If you have health questions about COVID-19 while in Minneapolis, the Minnesota Department of Health offers a specific COVID-19 hotline: 651-201-3920 (7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central Time)
